Craftybits Christmas Craft Series #17

Again late with my posting, and I’m sorry to say that this will be the last video for this series. I fell this weekend and tore something in the back so now everything hurts, but mostly my left arm is messing with me alot. So I will have to rest up and will not be able to record any more videos for a couple of days, and soon I’m leaving for christmas vacation. But I hoped you liked the series, this is the companion video for my colouring video, so here I make a card with the really sweet Emo Willow. I’m using the colour scheme for the Make It Colourful colour challenge, Red & Green and I’m also using the wonderful sketch from the Make It Crafty Facebook Group Sketch Challenge.

Craftybits Christmas Craft Serie #16

So I’m a little late with this post, my video editing software decided that I wasn’t supposed to export the video, first I thought it was my fault, but really it was just messing with me. Craftybits Christmas Craft Serie #15

When I saw this cuts in the silhouette store I knew what I was going to do with them, they looked so much like gingerbread cookies and that was what I was going to do with them. Now I don’t bake, me in the kitchen usually end up with some kind of disaster, so I had to do these from papers. Looking in my stash I found that the Tim Holtz Distress Collection Coré-dinations had the perfect card stock for this, I think it’s in the colour of Tea Dye. If you want to see how i did the rest just look at my video. The stamp I used for the card is Charlie the Elf by Little Blue Buttons Stamps, she’s just perfect for the tag. A little bit zen - Little Miss Muffet Stamps

I have really needed a brake from all the christmas cards, don't worry there is going to be 10 videos more, but for awhile I needed to play with something else. And then I saw the Zen Flowers Border by Little Miss Muffet Stamps, not only is it beautiful but it is pure therapy to colour. I knew I wanted colour it and when I saw the Graphic 45 paper pad from Bohemian Bazaar on my table I knew I found my colour palette. I combined the frame with Cupcake Anya by The Greeting Farm, a sentiment from It's your day by Hero Arts and I embossed some green cardstock with a Darice embossing folder. I'm entering this in the You've Been Framed challenge over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges.

I kind of had the idea that I for once should send out cards to my family and friends, and with all the more time consuming cards I make for the channel, blog and DT projects I thought I would make a card that was quite fast but still had some coloring on it. I’m having so much fun making my Christmas Craft Series, we are now on day five and it’s a card tutorial I have for you. I’m using the picture I colored up yesterday showing Angel Singing Carols by Make it Crafty and putting together a layered card, to accompany the angel I’m using last years Simon Says Stamp Christmas Cardkit and a sentiment stamp from this years kit. Craftybits Christmas Craft Serie #1

So I got this crazy idea in my head, I would post a video everyday throughout december until the 25th with different christmas crafts, and so was the christmas craft series born. This little girl has been laying on my table for weeks waiting to be colored, I finally got to it and I really like how she turned out. She is called Lizzie with Gift and you find her at Make It Crafty I paired her with some wonderful chipboard snowflakes also from Make It Crafty that I heat embossed with gold.

#25 - Seeing tripple - Fluttering Sapphire Fairy - Make It Crafty

This months $1 Digi over at the Make It Crafty facebook group is Fluttering Sapphire Fairy, and I loved her so much so I had to make, not one, but three cards (btw, if you want to buy beautiful stamps for only $1, hop over to det Make It Crafty facebook group, there is a new one every month). The papers are from three very different paper packs, Graphics 45 - Secret Garden, Victorias Design House - Designer Papper and Papermania - Happy Days. I also tried the coloring challenge over at Make It Colorful, which is muscle definition, which you can see best on the green or purple card. I really enjoyed making the cards, hope you like them!

#24 - Big Bobs little Gift - Make It Crafty

I got to play with Big Bob, and I really like him and all the neat folds in his clothes. I kind of figured he would be some where around 40-50 so I gave him some grey ends on his hair, and it soon being christmas I gave him a red shirt. Hope you like him :)

#23 - Fairy Bauble - Make It Crafty

Just before I got the DT place at Make It Crafty I had the honor to be the winner of one of their color challenges. And for the winnings I bought the Cute Christmas Fairies Digi Stamp Collection, I finally had the time to print out some of these lovelies and todays card is Showcasing the adorable Fairy Bauble. #21-22 Tangled - One Stamp, One Sketch, Two Cards - Make It Crafty

I picked up Tangled from Make It Crafty a couple of weeks ago and really wanted to use her for a Halloween card. But when I sat down to color her I kind of figured that she just as well could work as a christmas card all tangled in Christmas present ribbons. So I decided to make them both, using the same sketch and only change colors, papers and embellishments. I really love how they both turned out, hope you like them too.

#20 - Fairy Twinkles Christmas - Make It Crafty

I like to combine things, and today I do that by combining the sketch challenge over at the Make It Crafty facebook group with the optional theme of Christmas with this months $1 digi(to get the code just join the Make It Crafty facebook group and you will find it among the posts) Fairy Twinkles, isn't she adorable! #19 - Ginger - Make It Crafty

So I've been a bad DT, the cards I've supposed to post haven't been realized. I have been totally in awe over the picture the members over at the Make It Crafty facebook group has been coloring. And I have been scared to share mine as I'm long away from being as talented as those girls. And it got me abit stuck to. But here is the card I was supposed to post last week. It is following the theme over at the Make It Colorful challenge blog which is coloring eyes. The easy challenge is just simply coloring them while the hard is making a reflection in them. This is my try on the hard one. The digi stamp is Ginger from Make It Crafty She is one of four new portrait stamp that Make It Crafty has released. I paired here with the Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells papers, really love them! Hope you like her :)

#12 - Scary White - Make It Crafty

So I've been coloring scenes like crazy this week, but I've also been sick, and when I'm sick I doubt myself alot! So nothing I've done has been on par. So in the end I started coloring something I was more comfortable with, some cute characters. I've been coloring alot of halloween characters as it's coming up to halloween soon, but they all been black and some sort of red and I wanted to try something new. So I took this cute Mini Dracula and I colored him up in grey and purple, btw if you love him as much as I do you can get him for only a dollar, only this month. #11 - Spooky - Make It Crafty

I have the most wonderful of news! I got chosen to the be apart of the Make It Crafty Facebook Design Team! I totally love Make It Crafty stamps and I got my first ones a couple of years ago. I entered just for fun, didn't think I would be picked. As my first project I thought I would give the Coloring Challenge that they have over on the Make It Colorful page, this month they have an easy and a hard challenge. The easy challenge is to use orange and black and the hard challenge is to make a spooky background. Make It Crafty have loads of wonderful background stamps and have chosen to use Eerie Scene Digi Stamp where I only used the moon and the bats and Spooky Graveyard Digi Stamp. I had a wonderful time arranging the stamps and even more coloring them. Hope you like the card.

#8-10 Happy Monzta Halloween

When I got the digis from last post I got the whole collection, so I thought it would be great to make another series of card with the rest of the Make It Crafty Monzta Galz and Monzta Boyz. For this time I played with patterns, both on the Medusa's body and snakes but also on the jacket of the headless horseman. I really loved creating these cards and hope you like them too.

#5-7 Monzta Fun - Make It Crafty

So I had a play with my Make It Crafty digis again, this time I got some Monzta Galz and Boyz out. Aren't they cute! On the Make It Crafty facebook page they had a coloring challenge, coloring Smooth Gradients, they had it in three variations, Easy (gradients in one color, light to dark), Medium (gradients from one color to another in the same color family ex. red to yellow) and Hard (gradients going from a cold color to a warm, ex blue to red). I did enter for the Medium challenge, and my challenge entry was what got me inspired for the color scheme for these cards. I did start playing with Mini Gothilia and some how wanted to make her from fire, had so much fun and then decided to color up Mini Morticia and Mini Dracula with the same colors to get a cohesive card serie. Hope you like them!
