Maurice Say Cheese

You will be seeing loads of images with coloured backgrounds from me for awhile, it is so fun and it develops me as a designer. Not only am I learning a lot about distance and depth but while colouring I get loads of ideas. I’ve been in a creative low for awhile and it feels so wonderful to get back that inspiration that made me start to craft and colour. Todays card is with a image from Little Miss Muffet Stamp called Maurice Says Cheese, and he inspired me to make a Paris themed card, again, and I haven’t even been to Paris! And he fits perfectly in with this weeks theme for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog which is Anything Goes.

I’ve been wanting to play around with the Simon Says Card Kit for awhile now but as I haven’t got any weddings to go to I’ve been a little stuck. Jr. Sunbonnet Adventure

I've been feeling that I've been standing still when it comes to my colouring, I like how it looks but I want it to look better! So I've taken a step back and read loads of tutorials and looked at alot of art videos, and today I feel I've taken a step forward. I know that I have to work on my backgrounds, but I still like my end result. This is a new stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps called Jr. Sunbonnet Adventure. Amelia's Puppy

With the colouring challenge over at Make It Colourful being portraits I've been colouring loads of them, and using Zoes Colouring Faces tutorial I feel that I'm getting better at it. I just love the tutorials as it helps with colouring in any medium and mixed in with all the information there is always loads of small tips and tricks about colouring in general. Todays Portrait is actually a full size character that I have cut in half and then added a border to, it is called Amelia's Puppy and isn't it adorable! And if you buy the tutorial she is one of the stamps that is included. I also added a background that looked liked the background in school photos back when I was little, in the 80s.
